About Remnants of Spanish Texas
Although the remnants of Spanish Texas can still be found today in things such as language, religion, and food, perhaps the most tangible evidence of their existence lies in the mostly reconstructed mission and presidio ruins which stretch from the Texas Gulf Coast to far West Texas. In these places, in quiet moments, one can feel the lingering presence of the spirits which still occupy and animate them, and connect with a significant piece of Texas' past.
