Bluebonnet Notes: Prints And Licensing

December 9, 2021

Each print that I create is prepared in a manner that is unique to its size and the medium it is going to be printed on. My images are cropped based on artistic decisions during post processing, therefore, they do not necessarily conform to industry standard aspect ratios like 2:3 or 4:5. For this reason, the print sizes listed below are measurements of the print's longest side.

Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital Pearl prints

Fuji Pearl paper contains a very special component: pearly mica crystals. Based on the natural mica, they are covered with a thin layer of metal oxides. Through an interplay of transparency, refraction, coating and multiple reflections, one can discern silver-white and metallic reflection effects which lend pictures an intense warmth and depth.

Licensing

Most of my images are available for licensing. The cost will vary depending on how the image is going to be used. Please click here to contact me with information regarding the image you wish to license, a detailed description of how the image will be used, a brief description of the company and industry, the image size required, the print run and distribution territory (if applicable), and the duration of the license. I use standard stock industry pricing scales to determine my fees, based on the above information. Click here to contact me for details and pricing.

Each of my images has a unique number associated with it which facilitates its location for licensing requests. This number can be found by clicking on an image thumbnail and locating the title below the image. Images of the University of Texas and the Alamo are not available for licensing.

Due to the fact that I have a significant amount of time and money invested in creating the images on this website, I do not allow them to be used without compensation. Inquiries requesting the free use of my images may not be answered. All images © 2004-2020 Jason Merlo, all rights reserved. Any use of my images without my express permission is prohibited.
